Overview
Six days in and around the Home of Golf. This is the circuit that Lyons Links has refined over years — the right courses in the right order, ending on the Old Course with a tee time guaranteed through our Authorised Provider status. No ballot. No waiting. Just St Andrews.
Day 1: Dumbarnie Links
Opened in 2020, Dumbarnie is already in the top ten courses in Scotland. Designed by Clive Clark, it sits above the Firth of Forth with views across to Edinburgh. A fitting start to any Scottish trip.
Day 2: Carnoustie Golf Links
Seven Open Championships. Barry Burn crossing the 18th fairway twice. Carnoustie earns its “Car-nasty” reputation but rewards good golf with one of the great experiences in the game.
Day 3: Kingsbarns Golf Links
Kingsbarns runs along Kingsbarns Bay — sea views from every hole, a course that feels entirely natural despite being built on a cliff farm in 2000. One of the most beautiful rounds in Scotland.
Day 4: The Castle Course, St Andrews
The newest of the seven St Andrews Links courses. Set on a cliff top above the town with views back over the bay. David McLay Kidd designed it to test and delight in equal measure.
Day 5: The Old Course, St Andrews
The course that started it all. Lyons Links’s Authorised Provider status means guaranteed tee times — no ballot, no uncertainty. Road Hole, Valley of Sin, Swilcan Bridge. Everything you have been building toward.
Day 6: Departure
Edinburgh airport is 55 minutes from St Andrews. A final breakfast in town. A walk on the course. Then home, with a list of reasons to come back.
